How to Connect a Sensor to a Terminal Block

Connecting a Sensor to a Terminal Block

OneSense is equipped with pluggable terminal connectors to ease the process of wiring sensors to the device.

Unplug the terminal blocks from the header before beginning sensor wiring. This will help see the pin letter coding.

Pluggable Terminal Blocks

Several therminal blocks can be joined together to form an array.

Do not insert 2 or more terminal blocks next to eachother without first joining them together to form an array.

Connecting a Sensor

Sensor cable must end with bare wires.

  1. Open lid. Loosen cable glands caps.
  2. Ensure that sensor wires are cleaned of their insulation at 3-4 mm.
  3. Unplug terminal blocks.
  4. Insert sensor wires through one of the device's cable glands.
  5. Tignten the wires to the terminal block(s) observing wire function and terminal letter coding.
  6. Connect wired terminal blocks to terminal pins observing letter coding.
  7. Tighten cable gland caps around sensor cable.
  8. Close device lid.
  9. Switch device ON.
